TAYBOR ABPLANALP
Hi, I’m Taybor. I’m a parent. I’m also a rock climber, backpacker, fisherman, and traveler. I have an individual identity, and my hobbies and interests didn’t change after becoming a father. The difference is now my kids come with me. I used my senior project to develop an idea that has become Paloma Pack Co.—a soft-goods company designing bags and gear to help the active and adventurous transition into parenthood, as well as fit the lifestyle and needs of veteran parents.
Post-Graduation: I plan to continue Paloma Pack Co. full time.

Candlelight vigils are a popular way to gather as a community and share the experience of grieving together. It’s a way to honor and remember those who passed away. What happens if you can’t physically be there? ILLUMINATE uses an app so you can digitally light a candle on the chandelier-like structure from anywhere.
Post-Graduation: I'll be designing full time while also working on my startup company.

In an age where gender is a passionate social topic, what is the relationship between gender and the products we use every day? Recent studies show that products that are perceived as gendered have higher customer satisfaction and brand loyalty rates than undifferentiated products. What does a gendered product look like? Is it appropriate to design for a specific gender? Should all products be gender inclusive? How can designers be respectful of gender in their designs?
